Questions About Roof Replacements, Repairs, and Storm Damage

We offer roof repair work for residential and commercial properties. Including damaged shingles, missing shingles, inspecting and repairing flat and asphalt roofs, and assessing storm damage including repairing or tarping for insurance company purposes.

In most cases, we can repair damaged or missing sections of the roof depending upon the extent of damage or age of the roof.

Yes, you are able to stay at your residence while we replace your roof. Things to expect during the roofing process: loud and disruptive noises that may startle young children and/or pets; and debris around the perimeter of your home, which we will clean up at the end of each day. We do recommend moving your vehicle to a safe and accessible area. If you work from home, you may want to prepare coworkers for the noise in the background.

Putting a new layer of shingles over the old layer is possible, but with a maximum of two layers. In most cases, with the homeowner’s approval, we will remove single-layer roofs. We will then install an ice and water shield, a new drip edge, and new synthetic paper, which further protects the home. With a clean start, you receive an even more professional installation.

Typically, the average home roof replacement is completed in a single day. Although in some cases, such as larger homes or commercial properties, it can possibly take upwards of 5 days. We can give you a more definite time frame upon inspection of your residence.

We are a certified GAF/Owens Corning company with a limited, lifetime warranty. Being a certified contractor allows us to offer the full manufacturer’s warranty. If the contractor who installs your roof is not certified, your warranty has a lot of limitations and typically does not cover labor.

Some things to consider when you are preparing for your new roof to be installed are:

  • Speak to your contractor if you have pets that will need to be let out and come up with a plan prior to installation.
  • Move your cars out of the garage so they are accessible.
  • Move any grills, yard furniture, collapsible covering, flags, and any decorations around the property to ensure no damage.
  • If you work from home, you may need to prepare coworkers for loud noises throughout your day and or work from another location.
  • Clear the driveway for a dumpster to be delivered typically two days prior to roof installation.

In most cases, we can replace sections if needed. Depending upon the extent of damage as well as the age of your roof upon inspection. We will help you make your house whole again, by making the needed repairs and helping you to navigate through the insurance process.
